Frequently asked questions about relaunches
Will I lose my Google rankings in a relaunch?
The risk exists. With a badly executed relaunch it is even high. That is why we treat the migration as its own craft: complete 301 redirects, preserved URL structure, a freshly submitted sitemap and weeks of follow-up checks. Nobody can seriously guarantee positions, but the craft behind it is not a matter of luck.
Does my website stay online during the relaunch?
Yes. The new site is built in parallel on a staging environment; the old one stays unchanged until moving day. The actual switch takes minutes.
Can I keep my existing content?
Yes, copy, images and downloads move with us. On request we rework the copy during the move; in the Business package that is included.
What happens to printed QR codes and old links?
They keep working. Every old URL gets a permanent redirect to its new target. Even the QR code on your company van won't lead nowhere.
How long does a relaunch take?
A compact relaunch typically completes in three to four weeks; larger projects accordingly longer. We fix the concrete schedule in the initial consultation, and keep it.
Is a relaunch worth it, or should I rebuild from scratch?
If content and structure are fundamentally sound, the relaunch is the cheaper path. If both are outdated, a new build is more honest. After the short analysis we tell you what we would do in your place, even if it means the smaller invoice.
