The solar-installer cockpit · Photovoltaics & Solar
Solarwerk — the photovoltaics software for office, crews and roof
One system for the whole PV business. Measure roofs via satellite, plan installation crews, tick off checklists on the roof, and once the customer signs off, the invoice comes straight out of the appointment while the installation itself gets stored with the customer for recurring maintenance.

No more paper notes, magnet boards and Excel
Appointments by shout, hours scribbled on paper, instalments tracked in Excel, and nobody is quite sure when the Meier family system is next due for maintenance. Solarwerk pulls dispatching, customer files, asset management, time tracking, project files and invoicing into one system, built for everyday work in a PV installation business: system builds as much as storage, wallboxes and module cleaning.
“In the morning, everyone knows where to go. In the evening, the invoice is out, and the next maintenance date is already in view.”
A working day with Solarwerk
From the first coffee to closing time — this is what daily work feels like.
-
06:45
A look at the dispatch board
The office checks the 5-day forecast (roof work only happens in safe weather) and drags the last jobs onto the crews. Storm coming? Bad-weather mode moves every roof install of the day in one go.
-
07:10
The crews grab their iPad
“My tour today” shows each crew its installations in order, with tasks and an equipment packing list: fall protection, MC4 crimping tool, torque wrench. Clock in, drive off.
-
07:30
On the road
One tap and navigation opens to the next site, while the office watches progress live: en route, on site, done.
-
11:20
On the roof
Tick off the checklist: roof hooks & rails, modules, DC wiring, inverter. Progress photos document every step; questions go to the office as comments.
-
15:40
Commissioning & handover
The customer signs off right on the iPad, and the invoice is created from the appointment, prefilled from the service template.
-
16:30
End of the day
Clock out, and hours and per-site times book themselves. The new system gets stored with the customer, the maintenance interval starts running, and the next service already shows on the dashboard.

Missing something? We build it for you.
No two businesses are alike. Solarwerk might be missing a feature you need: an extra field, a report, an integration, a whole module. We build it for you. Describe briefly what you need and we'll reply with a fixed-price quote. Many wishes even make it into the next update for free.
Your software. Your data. Your brand.
What sets Solarwerk apart from typical cloud software — whether you buy or rent.
One subscription, everything included
Hosting on German servers, updates and support come with every package, no per-user licences, and you can cancel monthly. Each installation runs as its own instance with its own database. Rather buy outright, or have special requirements? Ask about custom solutions.
White-label included
The login, the app name, the whole interface: your company name, not ours. Your team feels at home from the first login, and invoices carry your own letterhead.
Extensible as you grow
Modular by design, so unneeded modules simply get switched off. Extra wishes, whether that is quoting or a monitoring connection, become extensions at a fixed price.
Try first, decide later
The live demo is a complete Solarwerk installation with a sample company, two crews, 14 tools, priced templates and customers with stored assets, including due maintenance on the dashboard and a running project with an instalment invoice. Just tap “Als Chef testen” (test as boss) on the login page. It resets itself every 30 minutes.

Photovoltaics software that reflects the real workday
Between the first consultation and grid connection lies a lot of organisation: assessing roofs, planning crews, coordinating material and tools, issuing instalments, and after commissioning, the maintenance business only just begins. Solarwerk was built for exactly this routine, software for solar installers and PV businesses that holds up as well on the roof as at the desk.
Measure roof areas from your desk
Before the first site visit, the customer file already delivers the facts: the satellite view shows the roof, and with the area measuring tool you draw the south, east and west roof faces. Square metres are calculated automatically and stored in the PV property data. Together with roof covering, orientation and pitch, this becomes the pre-planning for a photovoltaic installation, all without anyone climbing a ladder.
Asset management: turning installs into a maintenance business
Every installed system (PV array, battery storage, wallbox) gets stored with the customer, along with installation date, serial number and maintenance interval. The dashboard shows what maintenance is due, one click turns it into a service appointment, and once the job is done the asset rolls forward automatically. Every installation turns into plannable, recurring revenue: maintenance contracts, checks with measurement reports and module cleaning run on their own.
From instalment to final invoice
PV projects run for weeks, and Solarwerk maps this with the project file: appointments and invoices attach to the project, instalments get numbered automatically, and the final invoice offsets all instalments by itself. Full invoicing is a core feature: compliant gap-free numbering, officially validated XRechnung e-invoices for commercial and public-sector clients, DATEV export for the tax adviser and one-click dunning.
Who is Solarwerk made for?
For PV installation companies and solar installers with one or several crews: system builds, storage retrofits, wallbox installation, maintenance and module cleaning, and for electrical businesses running a PV branch on the side. Solarwerk never charges per user, from a 3-person outfit up to a 30-person team; the whole crew is always included in the package price. To get started we recommend the Basis package from €49.90 per month; most companies choose Pro at €94.90, which adds invoicing including XRechnung, projects and the route planner.
Frequently asked questions
What does Solarwerk cost?
Solarwerk is a subscription with three packages, and hosting, updates and support are always included: Basis at €49.90 per month for up to 5 employees, Pro at €94.90 for up to 15 employees (our most popular package), and Premium at €169.90 with unlimited employees and every add-on module. Annual billing gives you these prices, plus VAT; billed monthly they come to €59.90, €114.90 or €199.90. Basis and Pro let you add the customer portal (+€19.90), the Agentur package (+€39.90) and the Einsatz package (+€29.90 per month) one by one, while Premium bundles all three. Asset management and invoicing are included from Pro upward, and nobody pays per user.
Can I map maintenance contracts?
Yes, it is one of the core ideas behind Solarwerk. Assets get stored with the customer including a maintenance interval, the due list on the dashboard shows what is coming up, and recurring appointments map fixed maintenance contracts and module-cleaning rhythms. One click turns a due asset into the service appointment, and once it is done the interval rolls forward on its own.
Can I write invoices with Solarwerk?
Yes, invoicing is a core feature, not something you pay extra for. Invoices come straight out of the completed appointment, right after the acceptance signature if you want it that way, with positions already pulled from the service template. Numbers stay compliant and gap-free, and the number range is freely configurable. On top: a PDF with your own letterhead, open items, payment reminders and one-click dunning, plus the project file that offsets instalment and final invoices automatically.
Does Solarwerk support XRechnung?
Yes, invoices export as officially validated XRechnung e-invoices. In the PV business, where commercial clients and public-sector customers are common, that keeps you on the safe side. Sending happens straight from the system by email, through your own SMTP server or through SendGrid.
Does my tax adviser get the data?
Yes, with one click: the DATEV export produces the posting batch and every document PDF for the chosen period, ready for the firm.
What do I need to use Solarwerk?
Just a browser. Solarwerk runs as your own instance with its own database on German servers, and hosting, updates and support are included in every package. We handle setup and data migration; you get your login and start working. Would you rather run it on your own server, or buy it outright? Custom solutions are available on request.
Can I test Solarwerk beforehand?
Yes, the live demo is open to everyone: a complete installation with a sample company, two crews, 14 tools, priced templates and customers with stored assets, including due maintenance and a running project. Tap “Als Chef testen” (test as boss) on the login page and you are in. It resets itself every 30 minutes. Comparing several trades? The demo hub at demos.pixagentur.com lists every live demo.
Does it work on the iPad and without reception?
Yes. Solarwerk runs as a web app (PWA) with its own icon on the home screen. The time clock and the daily tour keep working even without reception and sync the moment the network is back.
Does the software run under my company name?
Yes, white-label is standard. Login, app name and business details carry your company, and invoices go out on your own letterhead.
What about data protection?
Your customer and employee data stays in your own instance with its own database on German servers, GDPR-compliant and strictly separated from every other company. Roles and permissions decide who sees what, an audit log tracks every change, and uploaded photos are automatically stripped of GPS data.
Can Solarwerk be adapted or extended for my company?
Yes. Any module can be switched off on its own, and beyond that, from extra fields up to whole extensions such as quoting or a monitoring connection, we build additions on request at a fixed price. Fastest route: our ticket system. Describe what you need and you get a fixed-price quote back.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. You pay the package price and that is it: no per-user licences, no setup fee, no extra charges for updates or support. Setup and data migration from your current solution are included too. The only addition is statutory VAT, and you can cancel any month.
